If Not Enrolled in CPP
A family that does not enroll in CPP is charged the full cost of repairs except those due to a manufacturer defect---i.e. battery recall. “Wear and tear '' does not qualify as a manufacturer defect. The IT department determines whether the repair is due to a manufacturer defect. What follows are repair cost levels for all chromebook models.

For example: touchpad, camera, hard-drive, battery, fan, keyboard

For example: touchscreen, motherboard
If Not Enrolled in CPP: Replacement
Costs***
For new devices, the cost timeline starts the date the device is issued to the student. For used devices, the cost timeline starts July 1 of the device purchase year. (Replacement cost is determined upon first reported evidence of an issue.)
- Replacement cost for all chromebooks for the 2026/2027 school year:
2026/27- 1st year $500
2025/26- 2nd year $400
2024/25- 3rd year $300
2023/24 - 4th year $100
Loaner Chromebooks $50
- Charger replacement, with or without CPP: new or slightly used: $15
- Cover or case replacement, with or without CPP: $15
