Supporting Academics, Athletics, and Clubs at Colfax High School
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public educational foundation dedicated to supporting the students and programs of Colfax High School (CHS). Our mission is to enhance academic and extracurricular opportunities by providing scholarships and grants to the school, individual departments, teachers, students, and student organizations. We also foster meaningful connections with CHS alumni to expand resources, mentorship, and opportunities for current students. In addition, the CHS Parent Teacher Alumni Club (PTAC) and Grad Night operate as special committees under the Falcon Foundation.
In Fall 2022, the Falcon Foundation received an extraordinary gift of more than $900,000 from the Carolyn Carter Trust. Through thoughtful and strategic financial stewardship, this generous donation will enable the Falcon Foundation to support CHS in perpetuity. Since receiving this gift, the Falcon Foundation has contributed more than $224,000 directly to CHS programs and initiatives.
Our annual teacher grant program supports a wide range of academic, athletic, and club activities. The Falcon Foundation has helped fund major campus improvements, including enhancements to the theater, Pucci Pavilion, and Marson Field/Martello Stadium. The Carolyn Carter Trust donation has also made possible annual staff grants, new athletic and physical education equipment, professional development and training for teachers, improvements to the Counseling Center, Olympic Week t-shirts for all students, and many other valuable initiatives. In addition, the Falcon Foundation collaborates with campus groups to facilitate fundraising and revenue-generating activities.
Our annual senior scholarship program recognizes and rewards students who demonstrate excellence in academics, community service, and school spirit. In addition to awarding Falcon Foundation scholarships, we assist in administering more than ten additional scholarships each year. We work closely with alumni and community partners to establish new scholarship opportunities that help graduating seniors pursue higher education and career pathways.

Need a Qualified Charitable Donation?
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, all donations to The Falcon Foundation are tax-deductible. We can receive qualified charitable distributions from IRAs to offset required minimum distributions. Consult your tax advisor for more information on this donation opportunity.
Have an Employer Matching Gift Program?
Many companies offer matching gift programs to encourage employees to contribute to charitable organizations. Most of these programs match contributions dollar for dollar, and some will even double or triple the amount of your gift! The Falcon Foundation will qualify under most programs.

Colfax High School Grad Night 2027 will take place Saturday, May 29, from 9:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m.
For more than 30 years, Colfax Grad Night has been a cherished tradition in our community. Historically, more than 80% of the senior class has participated. The goal is simple: give our graduates one final night together filled with fun, friendship, memories, and celebration—while providing a safe and sober environment.
A Night They Will Never Forget
A dedicated group of parents and community volunteers begins planning months before graduation. They select a theme and transform the Colfax High School campus into an exciting, completely decorated celebration designed especially for our graduating seniors.
Graduates will enjoy an evening packed with activities, entertainment, food, and opportunities to win incredible prizes, including:
- DJ and dancing
- Casino games
- Bingo
- Hypnotist entertainment
- Class mural painting
- Henna tattoos
- Rock wall Climbing
- Pizza, tacos, sandwiches, and other food
- Water, coffee, and sodas
- Raffle prizes and giveaways – Gift cards, Disney tickets, gas cards, and more – every graduate who attends will go home with a prize!
More than a half-dozen local businesses have already stepped up to donate food and other items to help make this special night possible. Numerous community sponsors have also contributed financially.
We Want Every Senior to Attend
Tickets are only $40 per senior, but we never want the cost of a ticket to prevent a graduate from participating.
No senior should be excluded because of financial circumstances.
Seniors who need assistance purchasing a ticket are encouraged to confidentially reach out to Mrs. Nave in the Colfax High School office. Our goal is for every member of the Class of 2027 to have the opportunity to celebrate this milestone with their classmates.

An event of this size requires tremendous community support. The decorations, entertainment, activities, food, prizes, and other expenses are made possible through the generosity of local businesses, families, organizations, and community members.
