Student Resources

  • Falcon Flex is a flexible time built into the regular school day for students to access extra support for their classes, meet with a teacher, meet with a club, make up a quiz, or stop to catch up on homework.

    • 3rd Block: Unless it's Advisory Monday, Falcon Flex / Intervention happens most regular school days during 3rd block.

    • Flexisched: Early in the week, students use a program called Flexisched (pronounced "Flexy-skedge") to sign up for which intervention offerings they'll attend that week. Teachers also regularly sign students up for Falcon Flex when they know students need additional support and accountability.

  • Stop It App

The STOPit app is an online reporting tool designed to deter and mitigate bullying, cyber abuse, and other inappropriate behaviors.

Our students have access to the STOPit mobile app or web-based option, which has two simple, but powerful, features.

    • Report: can be used by students to report incidents to school contacts anonymously.
    • Messenger: can be used to engage in anonymous two-way communication with school contacts.

Both Report and Messenger empower students to stand up for themselves and for one another. Students have the power to help put an end to harmful and inappropriate behavior they see online through social media and other means. They can use STOPit to reach out for help if they or a peer are facing a personal crisis or experiencing bullying, abuse, or are otherwise in need of assistance.

Our goal with STOPit is to create safer, kinder, school communities both online and off. No student information is needed to use STOPit. The only way personally identifiable information will be accessible through STOPit is if a student voluntarily includes it within the content of a report or message. Both our school and STOPit are committed to protecting the privacy of student data. STOPit is a signatory to the Student Privacy Pledge, spearheaded by the Future of Privacy Forum and the Software & Information Industry Association. You may review STOPit’s Privacy Policy for details, including more information on how anonymous reporting works.

  • CHS Student Vehicle Registration

Vehicle registration forms must be returned to the main office before Monday, August 31, 2026.  Enforcement in the parking lots will begin Friday, September 18, 2026.  Parking registration tag/sticker will not be issued unless all fines from the previous year are cleared and a current emergency card is on file.

  • Work Permits

COLFAX HIGH SCHOOL – ELIGIBILITY TO RECEIVE/MAINTAIN A WORK PERMIT

The Placer Union High School District supports students having a positive work experience as well as a successful academic experience. However, this philosophy also stresses that work enhances the school experience but does not replace it. District guidelines emphasize that the student is a student first and an employee second.

These guidelines mandate that the issuing of a Work Permit and the privilege to work is revocable depending upon the student’s attendance at school and satisfactory academic achievement. If a student chooses not to maintain satisfactory academic progress, a work permit may be revoked.

To obtain a work permit, the student must complete the following process:

    1. Student must obtain and complete the following Forms:

Eligibility to Receive/Maintain a Work Permit Signature Form

Statement of Intent to Employ Minor and Request for Work Permit Form

    1. Forms must be returned to the office. All school fines must be paid prior to Work Permit being issued.
    1. Please allow for a 24 hour process to obtain your Official Work Permit.
